We are a small family business with more than 30 years of experience ruled by Mr. Manuel and Mrs. Leonor.
Our story begun at the 90ʼs and since then we moved to the actual place (some of our older guests may recall us from the old place). At the time, the internet was more an idea of connecting the world rather than a certain revolution. The touch on a screen was more an experience to understand if a device stopped working or not =). Guesthouses were not so common, (at least in Sintra) so we started this adventure full of entusiasm and passion for our beloved Sintra and with a strong will to host adventurous enthusiasts from all over the world in their path to discover our homeland.On all the years that have passed and that led us here, we were always fascinated by the stories that our guests brought to us.
Some were written in our Memory book, others were immortalized forever in our heart (some of them are still shared at the family table). More than experiences that were shared, You gave us the oportunity “to travel the world” with yours stories, entusiasm and made us understand the importance of relationships between humans just by standing and listening to you while you shared your adventures. Your words invited us to know beautifull and unique stories. Bonds were created with people from all over the globe. We can say that we also learned a lot with all of you and that you are a big inspiration on our journay to improve and get better day-by-day.
In Piela´s Guesthouse you´ll find a family place, still with the original members from the begining, that will try to make you feel confortable on every detail.
